About our Photo Tours

Adventures thru the Lens Photo Tours are Urban Adventures. The goal is for travelers to:


• Discover and experience a city through the eyes of a local photographer.
• Encourage the observation of new viewpoints and interesting details which might easily be overlooked.
• To improve photography technique.
• To have a more interesting experience and involvement when visiting a city.
• Have fun

Our Photographer has in-depth local knowledge, a passion for their city and for the art of photography. Photographers are carefully selected for their breadth of style and experience in either travel or photo-documentary/reportage.
So bring your camera and be prepared to walk, shoot and click.

About your photographer

Languages : English

Mike is a young emerging photographer/artist who has lived in Birmingham all his life. In 2005, he won second prize for West Midlands Biodiversity Partnership wildlife photographer of the year and has been published in local press.

Discover Birmingham and learn how to take beautiful photos!

Some of the things you will learn:

  • How to cross the line from holiday snaps into one of the most beautiful and expressive forms of art in existence.
  • Golden rules of composition, lighting and exposure
  • How to look at everyday objects in a manner that will bring out their artistic potential
  • How to be more adventurous and creative with your work: painting with light, tripod techniques, and clever ways to enhance everyday scenes.
  • Not to be afraid to take your camera out of ‘Auto’ mode.

    Saturday Afternoon:

  • 4:00-8.00pm
  • DEPARTURE POINT: Victoria Square, by the statue of Queen Victoria

    ENDING POINT: Brindleyplace

    TOURS HIGH POINTS: Victoria Square, St Phillips Cathedral, Selfridges and St. Martin’s Square, New street, Centenary square, Brindleyplace and The Water’s Edge

    Cost: 125 € per person

    Other times on request. Minimum 2 persons - 150 € per person


    PHOTO ROUTE

    The interior of the City Chambers, especially the staircase of staggering magnificence, built in 1883.
    The Gallery of Modern Art 1828, with its rich Graeco - Roman interior and interesting exibits. Glasgows main shopping street, Buchanan Street has many interesting buildings of architectuaral note. Charles Rennie Mackintoshs' masterpiece The Glasgow School of Art 1897.
